This week: We started playing with a new story this week - La Poule Maboule. (Chicken little) We will be working with this story for a few weeks. We learned a little bit about how chickens are raised and what they need to be healthy. We got to see chickens and chicks too. Our advocate came to speak to us on Wednesday about the importance of circles for the First Nations. She also led a talking circle and gave us all a chance to talk about ourselves, and ask questions about items she had brought to show us. She will be back next week to read us a story. We had our fun run assembly this week. Everyday for the next 2 weeks we will be going outside for a run. We will be working on building stamina as we run around the big field. We had so much fun with the recycle creations that students brought to school this week. What amazing creative ideas. The last 2 days have been a little busy so we haven't had a chance to look at all our creations but we will do this on Monday. Some things we are working on now: I can sort items by 1 attribute. I can use items to create addition equations. I can count on from any number between 1-10. I can use my ideas to create something new. I can retell a story. I know a word for every letter of the alphabet (In French) I know ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. I can make healthy choices. I can try my best. I know what plants and animals need to survive. I can use my sense to make observations. . | |
