What fun we had this week! We are continuing our pumpkin inquiry. Tuesday we worked with Mme Godon's class. We were able to explore all sorts of different pumpkin centers to learn and observe pumpkins. We also began an experiment. We put dirt and water inside a pumpkin and we made predictions about what we thought would happen. Some of us things that the pumpkin might explode. Some thing that it will turn all the seeds black. Some of us wondered if a squash might grow inside the pumpkin. We are excited to see what will happen. We are continuing to work on creating patterns. We have been practicing creating ABB and AAB patterns. Some of us are even looking at creating ABC and other types of patterns. We are also working on recognizing the types of patterns we see. We try and name them as AB patterns, ABB or AAB patterns. This is still a little tricky for some of us so we will keep practicing. We are starting to speak and hear more French in our classroom. We have lots of words we know and we need to use to communicate with Mme. We are also getting good at says J'aime (I like). We did book of fall words this week. We practiced reading it together and we traced some of the words, then we got to color it in. Our Halloween afternoon was a lot of fun. We played games, did crafts and watched 1 short story in French and 1 short Franklin story in English while we ate our cheese, oranges and cookies. Our letters this week were L and K. We are also continuing to work on being able to say the whole alphabet in French. | |
