Our sound this week was IEN. We find it in words like chien (dog) viens (come) bien (good) We worked hard on our Family project this week too. We have all 6 sides completed. We talked about the different jobs our parents do and jobs we might like to do when we grow up. We looked at the different kinds of houses people can live in. We talked about different activities that families like to do. We discovered that each of our families looked different, had different members, liked to do different things, lived in different kinds of house and had different kinds of jobs but that one thing all of our families did is that they loved us and like to take care of us. In math this week we continued practicing counting by 1, 2, 5 and 10. We also reviewed the difference between adding and subtracting. We realised that when we add our final number will be bigger than the numbers we started with in our question and that when we subtract our answer will be smaller than the first number in our question. | We had fun playing with an old familiar song that many of us had learned last year. We made a book for the song "Quand le Père Noel viens me vister." We learned some Christmas and winter vocabulary too. We also worked with our big buddies to make a Christmas ornament and we wrote a letter to Père Noel. Next week we will be talking about different holiday traditions in our families. |
