| This week we have been learning about non standard measurement. We played with capacity, weights and measuring items using things from around the room. Many of us were surprised to find out that a container that looked smaller(shorter) than another container could hold the same about of liquid. We have been working on making sentences with "je mange" (I eat) this week. We are still working on trying to read little books too. Most of us know all our letter sounds, names and a few words for each letter. We also worked on a super secret project this week for Father's day. We played some drama games to help us practice using our French and we also did an obstacle course outside. We had fun learning to paint like Eric Carle and we made some collages using the paper we made. Fat cat was a lot of fun. We played and explored all sorts of activities. We also got to listen to a story from an Okanagan Elder. She told us a story about how food was given. She reminded us that as people we need plants and animals to live and should treat them with respect. She also told us that everyone, even the fly, is important. We also got to put on an Ogopogo costume. |
