| We read a few bucket filler books this week and learned about our invisible happiness buckets. We discovered that when we are kind to others it helps fill our buckets and it helps others feel happier too. We practiced doing things that were kind. Some students decided to try and play with someone new. Some decided to say thank you to the supervisors at lunch time. Other kids decided to make sure to smile at people outside. A few even decided to be extra kind to Mme Hawtree. You can listen to the stories below. We also started talking about the Zones of Regulation this week. We learned that when we are happy, calm and focused it is the best time to learn. We will be talking more about our feelings, and the zones over the next few weeks. We are learning about fall (automne) this week too. We talked about why leaves change colors, we went outside and did some leaf rubbings and also played in the leaves. We learned a poem about fall and we are learning a song too. Our letter this week were P, R and N. We are almost done with the frog jump letters. We are working hard on remembering to write our letters starting at the top and working down. In math we are continuing to work on making patterns. This week we learned that patterns can have more then 2 parts. We practiced making patterns with 3 parts. |
