. Monday we had a real artist come into our classroom to teach us how to use watercolor paints. It was so much fun. We can't show you what we painted because it is a surprise. We have been learning how to work in a group. We are learning about how to resolve conflicts and how to let our friends know what we think or what we want in a polite way. We had a puzzle-o-thon and worked with a group of 2-4 kids to try and solve 6 puzzles. We worked with our groups to see if we could sort groups of objects by 1 rule. We are getting better and working together. We went on a hunt for signs of spring this week. We saw lots of different signs out in the playground. We are still working on learning the names of the seasons. We learned about an artist called Giuseppe Arcimboldo. He liked to use other objects to create portraits. We saw one called The Librarian that was made of books. We saw another were he used fish to make a painting. We spent some time looking at 4 of his paintings that were based on the 4 seasons. We even tried our hand a using pictures of fruits and vegetables to make our own artwork. We are starting to learn about Canadian money. We are learning to recognize the different coins and their value. Flat Stanley visited our classroom all the way from Ontario. One of our friends cousins sent him to us in the mail. We decided to teach him a few French words and took a picture with him on the playground. Our letters this week were K,J,L,M.
