For example if I see 10+ 5 I can say 10 and count five more 11, 12,13,14,15. We are also learning to do addition using a 10 frame. Here is a game to help practice:
Double 10 Frame game.
In reading many of our classmates have been moving up levels. Our goal for the end of the year is to be at level 8 or higher. We are working hard to make that happen by practicing, practicing, and practicing.
In writing we have been working on creating out own version of the three little pigs. We also wrote a silly class story called the three little wolves. We watched these two Disney classics about the three little pigs too.
pousse (push) tire (pull) soulever (lift) gravité (gravity) and friction (friction). We tested some of our theories about the forces during our three little pigs day. We built houses out of various materials and the big bad wolf (Mme Hawtree's hairdryer) came to blow the houses down. We learned that it is very hard for the big bad wolf to blow down well build houses. We then found some items the wolf could blow down.
