Welcome back! I hope you have a wonderful holiday. Thank you everyone for the wonderful gifts and sentiments. My family and I enjoyed a lovely movie and dinner night out during the holidays and we had more than a few starbucks treats. Thank you! This week we only had three days together. Our Dogood Card this week was "Booster". We worked on encouraging each other to succeed. It worked well because one of the topics this week was on setting goals. We talked about how goals needed to be something we were able to accomplish and wanted to try and accomplish. We decided to write some goals for ourselves. We wrote down some things we would like to do more often and some things we wanted to get better at. Je veux ________ plus. (more) Je veux ________ mieux (better) The students had many ideas. Some wanted to read, write or swim better. Some wanted to draw, run or dance more or do math more often. We started our review of the complex sounds. For each sound we have 6 words or phrases that contain the sound. We are working on using these words in short stories we are writing. You will see the words and the stories in your childs home reading book. This week we wrote a story on the letter é and the sound in. If you child isn't finished his or her story they can work on it at home too! We are also working on using connecting words in our stories. The words we worked with this week are et, avec, dans, sur, parce que Another exciting thing this week. Our tablets have arrived! We worked together this week to create a list of rules for the tablets. We also had a chance to work with a partner and use this drawing app. We then learned how to use the app to practice our vocabulary words and spelling. | |
