We also started talking about using our senses to be good scientists. We learned that scientists use their eyes to notice details in the world around them. We also learned that our ears can give us important clues about what is going on around us. We went for a listening walk to see how many different sounds we could hear. We also went outside and tried to use our eyes to see details outside. We learned that scientists draw what they see so we practiced trying to draw something we saw. We paid attention to the details in the items we saw. We read the story "Ours brun" too. In math we are learning to identify shapes and we are continuing to learn shape vocabulary. We also learned that if we know how to draw shapes we can draw all sorts of things. We used triangles, rectangles, squares and circles to draw a house. We are continuing to practice making and completing patterns. We are trying to get good at making AB, ABC, AAB and ABB patterns. Here is another patterning game we tried https://www.takatamuser.com/6-7-ans/suites-logiques-takaseries-niveau-1.html We also talked about how to greet someone properly. We are working on remembering to stop, look at people in the eye, smile and say "Bonjour" when we greet them. | |
