Valentine's day was a lot of fun. We made heart crafts, created cards, made patterns and ate wonderful snacks. We learned a new song too. For Harmony day we had an assembly and got to see some Iranian and Irish dancing. We also saw the new hanging blanket with aboriginal symbols on it and we learned a little about that. Our letters this week were: O as in orange, ocean, oval. P as in pomme (apple), panda, pluie(rain), porte (door) We tried to do a painting on Friday to show how well we can print our numbers. Many of us found out that we have a hard time remembering which way the numbers 3,5,6 and 9 go. We are going to keep working on this together. We also wrote in our journals this week. We are working on drawing with details and on copying print. Some of us are also labeling our drawings and trying to sound words out. We are continuing to practice some sight words. Some of us are very good at reading: le, la, un, une, je, bonjour We are practicing counting to 100 by 10 and some of us are trying to write our numbers to 100 and count to 100 by 1. | |
