This week we - Made a gingerbread house and cookies. We each gave one of our cookies to someone in the school that helps us. - Practiced for our Winter concert. - Practiced our numbers, counting groups and recognizing numbers in print. - Learned a new song about the vowels. - Read stories about the gingerbread man and the nutcracker. - Went to Westwood to watch a nutcracker cartoon to get us ready for the nutcracker visit. - Started practicing reading to ourselves. Our goal is to be able to read for 10 independently. We can read words, look for letters or sounds we know or read the pictures. - read books with our buddies. - played outside in the snow. Somethings we are working on: I can write my alphabet. I know my upper and lower case letters. I know the sounds of all the letters. I know my numbers to 10. I can recognize the numbers to 10. I can write my numbers to 10. I can listen when my friend is speaking. I can get new ideas when I play. I can ask questions about the world around me. I can share my ideas with others. I can say repeat and learn songs and poems in French. I can understand basic instructions in French. I am beginning to use the French I know to communicate. | |
